Nature's Pride, a bread-maker based in Texas, has introduced new packaging for the Hearty Breads wide-pan line, which the firm claims displays nutritional information more clearly.

According to the firm, the packaging displays each slice of Nature's Pride 100% Whole Wheat slice has 22g whole grains while high fructose corn is zero.

Hearty Wheat flax packaging displays information saying the bread is baked with pure olive oil and all other Hearty Bread varieties that are available at outlets across the US feature nutritional call-outs.

Nature's Pride brand manager Stacey Schultz said the firm took up the challenging task of making nutritional information more sensible for consumers.
