Low voltage DC water heater immersion elements can be powered using solar, wind,or battery, they can be directly connected to a solar panel with a similiar wattage to the element or powered by batteries or used as a dump load for a wind turbine,we supply these DC immersion elements in various voltages ranging from 12v to 48v, with the falling cost of solar panels these are now fast becoming a viable option to the much more difficult to set up evacuated tube style of solar water heater and are generally a lot less expensive, they can be fitted to a standard hot water cylinder using an essex flange or a reducing bush in most circumstances apart from the 2.25 inch model which directly screws in to the top of most standard immersion type hot water cylinders,All are supplied with a gasket.
